Guinea Sege-Sege |
 |
African Sege-Sege, also known as, ksink ksink, se-se, kashink-kashink, sege sege, ksing-ksing, or segeh-segeh, are shakers placed around the head of the djembe, and represent the shields worn by the drummer in war. When the djembe is played the ksink ksink creates a "snare" type sound. They can be slipped through the crown loops, woven through the verticals, or secured with a rubber strap.
Our sege-seges are 5-6 inches wide and 7-8 inches tall. They are each hand forged from the mentioned countries. These are sold per piece, but are usually used in sets of three. Pictures are only a representation.
