Our medium Cajon-Ashiko stands 25" tall with an 11" head. This size is the best middle ground between the large and small. You get a nice rich bass while keeping tones that are a bit higher than the larger drum, all while preserving the quick response of the smaller drum.
Each drum is unique and hand-crafted using American Black Walnut wood for the body and Baltic Birch for the head or tapa. This drum is a Rhythm House Drums original. We combined the idea of the cajon and ashiko to make a drum that has a mix of a conga and cajon sound but is played without bending over a box as you do with a cajon.
