Excellent way to bond with your drum. This Ashiko kit comes with almost everything (including instructions) you need to complete the drum. Great for school projects or summer camp activities. Learn about sound and bond with your drum. These are the same excellent quality materials that we use to build our drums, just not put together.
This kit comes the with the rough sanded shell, sealed, 2 top rings, a bottom ring, goat skin and your color choice for 75 feet of rope, more than enough to complete your drum. You will also receive a instructions for heading and tuning your drum.
In order to complete this drum, you will need to cut the bottom groove (not required but recommended) shape the bearing edge and sand and finish the shell. This is a great option if you have access to sanders, chisels & rasps, and have minimal wood working skills. We always offer support if you get stuck in the process and include instructions and ideas on shaping and personalizing the shell.
