RHD Walnut Sangban |

Our Black Walnut Sangbans are built from 3/4" thick Walnut staves that we mill down from thicker stock in our shop to ensure uniform thickness. They are headed with medium thick Guinea cow hide with even thicknesses per drum side. We put a lot into these drums and it shows. They are loud and the tones of these sangbans blast through any ensemble.
These are custom built per order and usually take about 3 weeks. Through experimentation we have found that Walnut produces the warmest, most natural sounding dununs. Rope color can be determined at time of purchase. Custom engraving is not included with the price below but we can work with you to put a logo, artwork, or tribal designs on the sangban shell. The images are laser engraved into the wood, not painted or stenciled on.
