This beautiful African percussion instrument is used to accompany a djembe ensemble or any percussion group. The Krin log Drums are traditionally used as a sort of African telephone to communicate between distances of up to six miles through common rhythmic patterns that would imitate speech.
Our Krins are beautifully hand carved in Mali, West Africa.  These krin drums are made of Hare (Khadi) wood which is a dense hard wood that are also use for Bala keys and djembes.  As these log drums are made by hand, the decoration, style, and grain of each will be unique.  Most are around 6 inch diameter and 24 inches long.

Photo is only a representation, actual drums will vary.
